Following our previous update, the MAGNA technical team has made significant progress in the execution of the logistics platform we are developing for BGO in Getafe (Madrid).

This development, executed entirely by MAGNA and promoted by HISPAVIMA, involves the complete construction of two key logistics assets for the operator XPO Logistics: a 15,000 m² last-mile cross-dock center and a 9,000 m² built-to-suit (BTS) logistics warehouse.

Project Status

The project is progressing according to schedule and under strict quality and sustainability criteria, aiming to obtain BREEAM Excellent environmental certification. The project management is being handled by SAVILLS, with monitoring by DOKEI RE.

Milestones completed:

Earthworks.
Foundation.
Structure of both the cross-dock and the logistics warehouse.
Roof of the cross-dock warehouse.

Works in progress:

Infrastructure and ground: Ground stabilization work and spreading of subbase, along with the installation of anti-roll beams in the logistics warehouse.

Envelopes and facades: Progress on the facade of the logistics warehouse and installation of polycarbonate on the north facade of the cross-dock warehouse.

Logistics roof: Assembly of beams and purlins to complete the upper part of the second asset.

Technical Installations: In the cross-dock warehouse, intensive work is underway on the electrical installations, fire protection systems, and networks in the office areas. Downpipes for water drainage are also being installed.

Landscaping: Trenches are being dug for the stormwater drainage network around the cross-dock warehouse.

With the completion of this platform, MAGNA reaffirms its position as a strategic partner in the development of state-of-the-art, sustainable logistics assets in both Spain and Portugal.
