[Industrial Building]
Magna has successfully completed the expansion and adaptation works of an industrial building in Galdácano, Vizcaya, for the American developer BGO. The project was finished in mid-June, significantly transforming the facilities to adapt them to the specific needs of Makro, which is already operational in the new facilities.
The adaptation carried out by Magna’s technical team deployed to the city of Vizcaya included the creation of two new specialized modules for food preservation: a 900 m² freezer room with a height of 10 meters and cold storage rooms for fresh produce and fruit measuring 2,100 m² with a height of 10 meters.
These temperature-controlled areas are complemented by 4,900 m² of cold consolidation zones, optimizing Makro’s supply chain and logistics. In addition to these improvements, the project included the expansion of the existing offices by almost 700 m² distributed across two sections, providing modern and functional workspaces. New fire protection and electrical systems were also installed, ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of the facilities. Magna would like to thank BGO for the trust placed in them to successfully carry out this important transformation. We also extend our special thanks to the entire construction team for their excellent work and dedication, which have been key to delivering this project on schedule. The project has benefited from Dokei‘s Project Monitoring and PGI’s Project Engineering, to whom we also extend our gratitude for their collaboration throughout the project.
