Magna appoints Ricardo Alfaro Pereira as new group director in Portugal
Following our strategic restructuring plan for operations in Portugal, we announce the appointment of Ricardo Alfaro Pereira as the new Group Director in Portugal. This promotion not only recognizes Ricardo’s commitment and dedication to the company, but also underscores our commitment to development and sustainability in the Portuguese market. Ricardo joined MAGNA in October 2021 and, in his own words, receives this promotion “with great pride and satisfaction,” considering it “recognition of my constant effort and dedication in focusing on MAGNA’s growth in the country.” Ricardo is an Architect from the Technical University of Lisbon (2004), with a specialization and postgraduate degree in civil engineering. He began his professional career collaborating on national and international projects in the office and hospitality sectors. Subsequently, he assumed construction management responsibilities, accumulating 14 years of experience in various sectors such as offices, housing, hospitality, and industry before joining MAGNA. Within MAGNA, he has distinguished himself through his participation in several large-scale projects, most notably the Vendas Novas project, which he considers the most challenging to date. This project, technically and operationally complex due to its focus on the pharmaceutical sector, was key to the significant growth of the team in Portugal and became a highly important and enriching challenge. In his new role, his main responsibility will be to maintain focus and commitment to MAGNA’s development in Portugal, in an increasingly competitive and demanding sector. His responsibilities will also include coordinating, planning, and controlling the production of projects in Portugal, fostering motivation and promoting teamwork, as well as supporting decision-making and investing in ongoing training.
From MAGNA’s management, we are confident that Ricardo will actively contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of our brand in Portugal, and we wish him all the best in this exciting and challenging new chapter.
