SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY TECHNICIAN FOR PORTUGAL

We are looking for a Senior Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Technician to join our construction team in Portugal. This professional will ensure the daily monitoring of safety conditions, the implementation of preventive measures, and compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures in highly complex logistics and industrial construction projects.

This position will play an essential role in promoting a safety culture, working directly with construction teams, subcontractors, and technical staff.

Key responsibilities:

– On-site supervision of health and safety conditions;
– Monitoring compliance with applicable legislation and internal safety procedures;
– Risk identification and implementation of preventive measures;
– Monitoring and updating Health and Safety Plans;
– Conducting safety inspections and preparing technical reports;
– Investigation and analysis of occupational incidents and accidents;
– Conducting awareness and safety training sessions on site;
– Supervising the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
– Supporting Site Managers and Foremen in implementing safety best practices;
– Document management associated with Occupational Health and Safety.

Requirements:

– Appropriate qualifications/certification to practice as a Senior Occupational Safety Technician (Level VI or equivalent recognized in Portugal);
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within a construction site environment;
– Knowledge of Portuguese legislation applicable to Occupational Health and Safety;
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools;
– Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and capability to supervise fieldwork;
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
