Construction of a 7,396 m² cross-docking logistics center of warehouse space, located on a 59,200 m² plot and configured with 65 loading docks, 1,200 m² of offices, 116 parking spaces for trailers or swap bodies and 110 spaces for light vehicles.
Considering the presence of soils with poor geotechnical characteristics on the site, ground improvement was carried out using vibro-replacement treatment (“Gravel Columns”), to depths of 9 to 12 m, thus enabling the structure’s foundations to be direct foundations.
The interior slab, 17 cm thick and reinforced with steel fibers, was designed for a live load of 50 kN/m².
The structure is steel, with variable moment of inertia and spans of up to 52 meters.
The roofing solution is a PIR “sandwich” type panel.
The dock facade is made of precast concrete up to 4.00 m in height, integrating the 65 motorized loading docks with swing-out lips.
From 4.00 meters to the top, the facade is metal and composed of in-situ panels (sheet metal, insulation, sheet metal).
The offices, constructed of in-situ reinforced concrete, were built on two floors, and their structure was oversized to accommodate the loads of a future expansion (third floor).
The office facades were clad with Stacbond-type panels and Cortizo-type solar protection film.
