SOLUTEC begins work on rehabilitating the lorry yard surfacing of a logistics centre in Ciempozuelos (Madrid)
SOLUTEC continues its growth and this November started work on a project to completely renovate the lorry yard surfacing of a logistics centre in Ciempozuelos (Madrid). The project adds to the growing demand to improve transport and logistics infrastructures in the region.
The rehabilitation of the logistics centre is essential to ensure its operability, as having an asphalt road surface in good condition is a key priority to ensure the smooth flow of lorry traffic, reduce loading and unloading times, and minimise wear and tear on the vehicles. In addition, the condition of the road surface can help to prevent accidents and facilitate lorry manoeuvring, thus improving working conditions for staff.
The surface rehabilitation process being carried out by Solutec includes:
- Site preparation: Removal of the existing damaged paving, ground levelling, and compacting the base to ensure good adherence of the new material.
- Installation of new networks: Laying of the drainage networks and installation of other necessary services, such as rainwater collection pipes.
- Laying of the new surface.
- Signposting: Painting of road markings and installation of the necessary safety elements to guarantee visibility and safety for drivers.
- Finishing touches: Carrying out the final touches, including compacting the surface and cleaning the area.
