Magna & Solutec 2024 Review

As usual at the start of a new year, we take a look back at what we’ve achieved across the one just passed. 2024 was a strong year for Magna, where we reaffirmed our commitment to sustainable and large-scale construction in Spain and Portugal. While at Solutec, we consolidated our reputation as specialists in the rehabilitation and adaptation of logistics, industrial and commercial spaces. Both companies have demonstrated our clear commitment to sustainability, innovation and excellence.

Some of our highlights for Magna in 2024:

Projects spotlight:

  • Construction begins on a logistics warehouse in Granollers on a plot of more than 21,000 m².
  • Development of a 43,000 m² logistics hub in Álava for P3.
  • Completion of the first warehouse of the Benavente Logistic Park in Portugal.
  • Completion of the second warehouse of the same complex in Portugal.
  • Expansion of a logistics warehouse in Lisbon — by 10,000 m² and with 800 m² of office space.

Commitment to sustainability:

  • Obtained the BREEAM® Excellent certification for the Zanda Reim logistics warehouse in Azuqueca (Guadalajara).

Corporate events and activities:

  • Organisation of information days on occupational safety during the hottest months of the year.
  • Celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UN Global Compact in Spain, underscoring alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a year packed with numerous projects, meanwhile, some of our Solutec highlights included:

  • Completion of the rehabilitation and reconditioning of a logistics park in Alovera (Guadalajara), obtaining the BREEAM® Very Good sustainability rating.
  • Comprehensive transformation of an emblematic warehouse in Getafe (Madrid) into a state-of-the-art logistics hub of more than 25,000 m².
  • Rehabilitation of 12 logistics warehouses for a multinational transport company in different cities in Spain.
  • Improvement of a refrigerated warehouse in Mercamadrid.
  • Extension of a warehouse’s sewage network in Alovera (Guadalajara).
  • Rehabilitation of the circulation roads of a logistics complex in Leganés.
  • Start of works to adapt and modernise logistics warehouses in the Villaverde district (Madrid).
  • Transformation of a space dedicated to technological products into a gym in Salamanca.
  • Refurbishment of a lorry yard surface in a logistics centre in Ciempozuelos (Madrid).
